Polymer concrete is an ideal material for constructions outdoors. It fulfills the highest requirements in terms of durability and low wear. The production of the material differs from that of cement concrete through the use of reactive resins instead of cement paste. This results in higher strength, which allows components to be manufactured with thinner walls - and therefore less weight. The decisive advantage, though, is the perfectly smooth and pore-free surface, which remains unchanged over many decades. This is an enormous quality advantage over cement concrete, which tends to become washed out due to weathering and flake in winter due to frost.
Polymer concrete is environmentally friendly. The essential components of polymer concrete are mineral aggregates that are bound together by polyester resin. The polyester resin cannot escape any more after the concrete has hardened. This means the polymer concrete can be recycled at the end of its life cycle, for example by shredding for use as gravel. Moreover it is easy to find buyers for the steel bases of the table tennis tables or skateparks, of course, which means every individual part of our products can be ecologically and cost-effectively recycled.
Polymer concrete has a water absorption of less than 0.5% which ensures it is frost proof.
Polymer concrete is non-porous with a sealed and capillary-free structure, as opposed to standard concrete.
Polymer concrete components have a life expectancy far exceeding that of traditional concrete products because their surfaces don`t wash out and they are frost- and UV-resistant.
Polymer concrete is a totally inert material and can therefore be used with confidence. Shredded polymer concrete can be used as gravel.
Polymer concrete makes it possible to manufacture elements that are 75% lighter than ordinary products made of concrete. This means enormous advantages for both transport and installation.
